DANTE INFERNO – Immersive Exhibition

DANTE INFERNO – Immersive Exhibition is a multisensory exhibition dedicated to Dante’s Inferno. The project transforms Dante Alighieri’s masterpiece into a contemporary immersive experience, engaging visitors through a unique combination of culture, technology, and spectacular storytelling. Visitors become the protagonists of an emotional journey through the circles of Hell, experiencing firsthand a narrative rich in visual, auditory, and emotional impact.

The Museographic Project

Phantasya Communication developed the creative concept and museographic design of the exhibition, creating an immersive narrative journey that guides visitors from the entrance to the conclusion of the experience. Conceived as a progressive descent into Dante’s universe, the exhibition unfolds through scenic environments, multimedia installations, and emotionally engaging storytelling. The project combines cultural content, immersive technologies, educational tools, and innovative exhibition design to make Dante’s work accessible, engaging, and relevant for audiences of all ages.

The Exhibits

The exhibition features a series of technological exhibits designed to enhance audience engagement and transform the visit into a memorable experience. Highlights include a life-size hologram of Dante Alighieri welcoming visitors at the beginning of the journey, high-definition immersive projections, multisensory environments, synchronized audio experiences, interactive installations, and a Metaverse experience developed with a strong 360-degree cinematic approach. The exhibition is further enriched by a documentary film dedicated to Dante’s Inferno and digital educational content designed for schools and families.

The set-ups

The exhibition design was conceived to create a highly immersive and visually striking environment. Large scenic structures, themed panels, architectural elements, lighting effects, and evocative settings transform the exhibition spaces into a journey through the symbolic landscapes of the Divine Comedy. The integrated use of lighting design, sound design, scenic projections, and digital technologies creates a powerful emotional atmosphere, engaging visitors on visual, auditory, and sensory levels while fostering a complete immersion into Dante’s narrative universe.
